Sediment survey results - Community update space

The baseline sediment survey in October 2025 was an outstanding success. Over 200 community volunteers participated and well over 100 sediment samples were collected from across the Clarence catchment.

So much love for our beautiful river and home! It was a wonderful example of the power of community - community coming together with a common purpose to look after Country.

This page provides progress updates. It is a place where results will be shared when they become available.

So far,…..the samples have been transported to the labs at Southern Cross University and are being carefully processed (oven drying / sieving etc) in preparation for analysis at EAL by ICP-MS.
